Carrboro is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Carrboro follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Had some great sushi some good beers services. Good overall. We're out on the patio this evening. Nice atmosphere overall. Can't control flies but they try with the mini fans and everything so you have to appreciate that.

I went to Aki Hana for the first time on July 1 after hearing so many good things about it. The food was amazing! The highlight of the experience was definitely our server, Joey. Joey was very attentive and helpful. He struck the perfect balance of giving a table space while still being present. He handled his section with such palpable ease, even with 5 tables during the dinner rush! I'm a server and I definitely learned from him. I've incorporated some of his strategy into how I handle my own tables, and I've definitely seen an uptick in my tips and guest satisfaction. Thanks, Joey!

My wife and I visited Akai Hana Japanese Restaurant for lunch and had a very nice experience overall. The highlights of our meal were definitely the food and the exceptional hospitality. We ordered a variety of sushi, and every single piece was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It is easily some of the best sushi we have had recently. While the service was a bit slow during the lunch rush, the staff made up for it by being incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive to our needs. The cozy atmosphere makes it a great spot for a casual date day or a quality lunch. We will absolutely return here again to try more of the menu. Highly recommend checking them out if you love authentic Japanese cuisine

Really excellent quality of fish - lots of care and detail went into preparing the food. The sushi chefs and waitresses are very kind. Will be back for sure!

Food was decent. Tempura was cooked perfectly, the sushi rolls were great. Miso soup made was good and strong. The ginger dressing was awesome on the salad. The teriyaki sauce was good tasting but way too watery. Used to a thicker sauce for teriyaki. Broccoli and carrots was a disappointment. Seemed there was a better opportunity for a Japanese vegetable dish, maybe with bean sprouts in a soy sauce and vinegar... Hint hint. Even orange slices would of been better. Tempura sauce was good too.I am a little harder on Japanese restaurants because I was raised on Japanese food, wish they had saba....π Would I go back ..Yes. Parking is very limited. And being that most Japanese restaurants in North Carolina aren't that great this one is good and it gets crowded fast. Staff is great here. Prices are actually decent.
